Summary

This grant opportunity is for nonprofit organizations based in the state of Oregon that have been operating for at least three years. To be eligible, an organization must have 501(c)(3) status and provide direct services to people in need. The kinds of work supported include mental health counseling, addiction treatment and substance‑abuse intervention, crisis intervention, and after‑school mentoring or educational support.


Organizations that apply are expected to serve a broad segment of the community, have established track records, evidence‑based methods for measuring success, collaborative partners and other committed donors, and must not be involved in any litigation. There’s also a restriction for those who have received this grant (or applied repeatedly): after three consecutive years of support, an organization must take a year off before applying again.


The funding amount is up to $25,000 per grant. Applications open in early spring (around April) and the deadline falls in early summer (around June). Decisions are reviewed during summer and awards made in the fall (around September).
